Research Bootcamp: Data cleaning with OpenRefine
The first step in data analysis is often to clean the data: Identify and correct obvious errors and make the formatting consistent. This step should be taken with the same care and attention to reproducibility as the rest of the project. OpenRefine is a powerful free and open-source tool for working with messy data. This workshop will show you how to clean and format your tabular data while automatically tracking the changes you make. Prerequisite: Install OpenRefine on your portable computer, from http://openrefine.org/download.html
