Love Data Week: Get efficient with Excel's Conditional Formatting Feature in less than 30 minutes!
Is conditional formatting an Excel feature that allows you to apply custom formats only to cells that fall under specific conditions? Or is it really the “give meaning to your data AND make it pretty with a few button clicks” feature? Join to learn more about this underrated Excel feature.
Technical requirements: This session is very beginner friendly: you won’t need any special Excel knowledge to join in. Conditional formatting is available in Excel versions 2013+. This session will have a hands-on component, for the best experience, please join with a web-enabled device that has a desktop / app version of Excel.
About your presenter: Julie Marcoux is a data librarian based at the Killam Library who enjoys helping students, faculty, and researchers navigate the confusing world of datasets and statistics in order to find the data they need for their projects. She occasionally uses a bit of programming skills on projects such as creating an Excel file (with a menu with buttons that work!) for use in teaching advanced Excel functions.
