Learn to use Google to find data like an expert in less than 30 minutes!
You’ve probably used Google before. But do you know the expert tips and tricks that make Google a surprisingly effective tool for finding data on the topic of your choice? Learn new search skills and practice with an exercise, all in under 30 minutes.
About your presenter: Julie Marcoux is a data librarian based at the Killam Library who enjoys helping students, faculty, and researchers navigate the confusing world of datasets and statistics in order to find the data they need for their projects. She occasionally uses a bit of programming skills on projects such as creating an Excel file (with a menu with buttons that work!) for use in teaching advanced Excel functions.
